“Mr. McConnell said Democrats were already at risk of not grasping the lessons of the 2010 election.

“’They may have missed the message somewhat,” he said. “I think the group that should hopefully get the message out of yesterday’s elections is our friends on the other side of the aisle. And we hope that they will pivot in a different direction [and] work with us on things like spending and debt, and trade agreements, and nuclear power and clean-coal technology and other things the president has said that he’s for that most of my members are for.’”

I hope we can stay away from any Cap & Trade or national Renewable Energy Standards as well as cut back the subsidies.

Here in Maine, we have a new governor who is openly skeptical of wind. He gets that it is a scam that will not lower electricity costs. A new Republican controlled legislature to replace the Baldacci dominated one that passed the heinous Expedited Wind Permitting statute that opened the floodgates to windsprawl in Maine. I helped get a state rep elected who pledged to try to repeal that statute.

Maybe we can make some headway on the political front, after all!
